Makerere Impis will be desperate to reignite their Uganda Cup campaign when they welcome the Victoria Sharks to the famed “Graveyard” on Saturday — a clash that promises bruising rugby and redemption in equal measure.

The Impis, wounded from their opening-round defeat to Heathens, return home determined to defend their fortress. For them, the Graveyard has often been a place of revival, and captain believes their home advantage could tilt the scales.
Across the pitch, the Victoria Sharks arrive buoyed by a technical win after Elgon Wolves failed to show up in Mbale. While they’ve yet to truly test themselves on the field this Cup season, coach Kevin Makmot sees the Makerere trip as a perfect stage to unleash their full potential and set a statement.

The Graveyard will also be the battleground for another enticing tie as LifeGuard Rams face a ruthless Stanbic Pirates side that crushed Kigezi Silverbacks 154–9 in their opener — a result that sent shockwaves through the competition.
Elsewhere, defending champions Heathens head north for a tricky away test against Kitgum Lions, KCB KOBs visit Fort Portal, while the Hippos host Mbale Elephants in Jinja. The Barbarians are also on the road to Kigezi in what could be a routine outing if form holds.

With the Uganda Cup’s second round in full swing, all eyes will be on the Graveyard — where pride, passion, and the roar of the rugby faithful promise a thrilling weekend.
