The 2025 African Rally Championship (ARC) has been confirmed with surprisingly only four events instead of the usual seven. This was revealed during the 2024 FIA General Assemblies in Kigali, Rwanda.

The 2025 championship only lacked to be named ‘The East African Rally Championship’ due to exclusion of countries like; Zambia, Tanzania, and Ivory Coast, which have been hosting rounds of the championship. It will only concentrate around East African countries.

This comes after the above mentioned countries pulled out due to different reasons including lack of sponsorship.

The 2025 ARC season calendar will start with the Equator Rally, slated from March 20th to 23rd, 2025 as the first event.

The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally which acted as the first round this year, will be 2025 ARC second round and will be run on the weekend of May 9th to 11th.

The third round of the season will be the Rallye International de Burundi, which will be slated for August 15th to 17th with the final round being the Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally, on the September 12th to 14th, 2025 weekend.
