The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) is set to host St. Lawrence University (SLAU) in the first leg of the University Football League semifinals on April 3, 2025 in Mbale.
This marks IUIU’s return to the semifinals since 2018, highlighting their resurgence in university football.
SLAU has demonstrated consistent performance, reaching the knockout stages for the fifth consecutive season. Their journey to the semifinals included a notable 2-1 aggregate over Ndejje University, showcasing their resilience and tactical prowess.
However, IUIU also eliminated Kampala University 2-1 on aggregate.

St Lawrence come into this game with a poor away record. Out of the four games they have played away from home this they have only scored one goal and have not won any game. They have lost and drawn twice respectively.
