JT Jaguars registered a well-deserved 83-70 victory over KCCA Panthers in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday night.
The Panthers started stronger, with Ceasar Kizito perfect on the free-throw line to close the first period with a narrow 20-18 lead. Toussaint Mampuya’s deep three-pointer then helped KCCA extend their advantage to six points by halftime.

Ian Lubwama’s buzzer-beating three-pointer opened a seven-point (52-45) lead for the Panthers heading into the fourth quarter.
However, the Jaguars stormed back in the final period, fueled by Kevin Moru’s two clutch shots from beyond the arc, eventually sealing a 13-point victory.
Peter Sifuma put up a dominant performance with a double-double of 15 points and 22 rebounds. Kevin Moru (27 points) and Ian Lubwama (23 points) also scored in double digits for the Jaguars.
For the Panthers, Davis Assimwe led the scoring with 29 points, while Emmanuel Odongkara added 11, the only two players to reach double figures for KCCA.
