KCCA FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Police FC in a Uganda Premier League clash held today evening at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The hosts made their home advantage count but were made to work for all three points against a resilient Police FC side that was reduced to ten men in the second half.
KCCA FC started brightly and got on the scoresheet early through Shafik Kwikiriza capitalizing on their possession and pressing game.
Police FC responded with a determined effort, managing to equalise through Umar Kasumba’s penalty.
The end to end saw KCCA several chances in the first half as it ended in 1all.

In the second half, KCCA bounced back from where they stopped but were not clinical enough until Usama Arafat’s strike saw them take the lead again.
A few minutes later Police was reduced to ten men after goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga was shown a second yellow card after an offense on substitute Gatbel Yian.
The victory gives KCCA FC a vital boost as they climbed to the fifth position with 40 points, while Police are 12th with 30 points. Vipers top the standings with 62 points.
