KCCA FC has reinforced its midfield depth by handing a new two-year contract to versatile playmaker Umar Lutalo, marking a renewed chapter in his budding career at the Lugogo-based side.

Lutalo initially joined the Kasasiro Boys in January on a six-month deal that included a renewal clause. After a steady adaptation period, he gradually found his rhythm and became a valuable asset on the pitch—featuring both in central midfield and on the left flank.

His consistent displays and growing influence convinced the technical team to retain him for the long haul.

“I’m truly delighted to extend my stay at KCCA,” Lutalo said after signing the deal. “This club has become like home—from the management and players to the fans, everyone welcomed me warmly. I believe in the club’s vision and am motivated to give everything to help us achieve success.”

The 22-year-old’s signing signals KCCA’s continued effort to retain core talent as they prepare for a competitive 2025/26 campaign. Known for his attacking flair and sharp movement on the wing, Lutalo also brings a long-range shooting threat, making him a multi-dimensional player in coach Abdallah Mubiru’s plans.

Before joining KCCA, Lutalo made his name at SC Villa, where he lifted the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title. He also had a short stint at Kitara FC, further cementing his topflight experience.

Internationally, Lutalo featured for Uganda’s U20 side during the 2023 AFCON tournament in Egypt and was recently part of the Cranes squad during the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Somalia, Guinea, and Botswana.

As KCCA gears up for the new season, Lutalo’s contract renewal represents both continuity and ambition, with fans hopeful that his growing influence will be instrumental in reclaiming domestic dominance.
