Winning trophies and making a greater impact in the community have emerged as KCCA FC’s twin priorities after the club held its Annual General Meeting at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The meeting, convened in line with FUFA regulations, brought together officials from the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), the club’s board, management, supporters and a representative from FUFA to review the past season and chart the way forward.

A major outcome of the meeting was the approval of the club’s 2026/27 work plan and budget, with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to financial discipline, good governance and long-term sustainability.

KCCA FC also outlined plans to strengthen its infrastructure by acquiring a new team bus and completing basic furnishing works at the MTN Omondi Stadium. Club leaders further stressed the need to secure the remaining Shs39 billion required to complete Phase Three of the stadium project and bring the facility to international standards.

On the sporting front, Deputy Executive Director Benon Moses Kigenyi made it clear that the club’s ambition is to return to the summit of Ugandan football.

“Returning to winning ways is a mandatory requirement for KCCA FC. The Board and management must do everything humanly and structurally possible, from precision recruitment to technical backing, to restore our dominant competitive edge and bring silverware back to Lugogo,” Kigenyi said.

The club also celebrated the selection of seven of its players in Uganda’s final squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN): Herbert Achai, Joel Sserunjoji, Lazaro Muhindo, Shafik Kwikiriza, Gavin Kizito, Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Emmanuel Anyama.

Beyond football, KCCA FC resolved to use its platform to champion social causes across Kampala. The club plans to roll out campaigns focusing on youth empowerment, public health awareness and environmental sanitation as part of its broader contribution to the city’s development.

With its strategic plans approved and renewed emphasis on success both on and off the pitch, KCCA FC believes it is well positioned for a competitive 2026/27 season.
