KCCA FC sent a strong message to their title rivals with a commanding 4-0 dismantling of UPDF FC under the Lugogo lights on Tuesday night, producing one of their most complete performances of the season.
Rather than easing their way back after recent struggles, the Cityzens exploded out of the blocks, pinning UPDF deep and dictating the tempo from the opening whistle. That early authority was rewarded within 12 minutes when Sammy Ssebaduka finished off a well-worked move, capitalising on sustained pressure to hand the hosts a deserved lead.
UPDF never truly settled, and KCCA continued to stretch them across the pitch. The breakthrough for a second goal arrived midway through the first half when a clumsy challenge in the area earned the hosts a penalty. Joel Sserunjogi kept his nerve, calmly sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to give KCCA a comfortable cushion before halftime.
Any hopes of a UPDF response were swiftly extinguished after the restart. Ssebaduka once again proved the difference, showcasing his composure and movement to add a third goal early in the second half and effectively kill off the contest.

The substitutions paid off late on when Alpha Thierry Ssali marked a memorable moment in his young KCCA career, tapping in his first goal for the club to crown a dominant evening.
Tempers briefly flared in the closing stages, drawing a handful of yellow cards, but they did little to distract from KCCA’s authority on the night. The final whistle confirmed a resounding victory that lifts the Cityzens to second place on the table with 30 points, applying fresh pressure at the top.
