KCCA FC returned to form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over BUL FC in a pulsating Uganda Premier League clash at Lugogo, snapping a two-match losing streak in style.

Having suffered defeats to NEC (3-1) and UPPC (1-0), the Kasasiro Boys needed a response—and they delivered. After a cagey start that saw Ashraf Mugume and Karim Ndugwa miss early opportunities, Ivan Ahimbisibwe broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, heading home from Saidi Mayanja’s inviting cross with Bwambale Lazaro instrumental in the buildup.

BUL responded just before halftime, as Denis Ssewagudde curled in a free kick deep into stoppage time to level matters at 1-1.

But KCCA struck immediately after the restart. Herbert Achai capitalized on Mugume’s assist in the 48th minute to restore the hosts’ lead. Achai later turned provider at the back as well, producing a crucial defensive intervention earlier to deny Ndugwa.

Both sides shuffled their packs with multiple substitutions, while Tom Ikara produced a fingertip save to keep BUL in contention. However, KCCA held firm through four minutes of added time.
The win lifts KCCA to fourth place with 33 points, 13 ahead of eighth-placed BUL, while Vipers remain top on 38 points.
