Kitara Football Club has secured a major boost ahead of the new season after signing a UGX 100 million shirt sponsorship deal with Kinyara Sugar Ltd, reaffirming a partnership that blends football success with community growth. The announcement was made today at Kinyara’s Masindi headquarters in a ceremony that drew fans, officials, and company staff.
Kinyara Sugar CEO, Mr. Ramalingam Ravi, emphasized that the renewed commitment reflects the company’s wider responsibility to support initiatives that inspire and unite communities.
“We proudly support sports and are delighted to extend our partnership with Kitara FC, the Uganda Cup winners. This is part of our CSR efforts to uplift the region through football,” Ravi said.
A Win-Win Partnership
The agreement places Kinyara Sugar’s logo on the front of Kitara’s training and matchday jerseys, ensuring premium visibility in both the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup competitions. Beyond the shirts, the deal also secures branding rights at Kitara’s home fixtures, co-branding opportunities during press briefings, and stronger fan engagement platforms across Bunyoro.
Driving Kitara’s Rise
Kitara FC CEO, Atugonza Joshua, hailed the sponsorship as a cornerstone of the club’s recent progress. He noted that Kinyara’s backing last season helped fuel Kitara’s historic Uganda Cup triumph, and its renewal now sets the stage for even greater achievements.
“This partnership is more than financial support—it is a statement of trust in our vision and belief in what Kitara represents. Together, we aim to keep lifting football standards and inspiring our people,” Atugonza remarked.
With the new deal, Kitara not only secures vital resources for their competitive ambitions but also strengthens ties with the Masindi community, where sugar and football are fast becoming symbols of identity and pride.
