The 2025 Airtel Masaza Cup matchday three encounter between Kyaddondo and Bugerere ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on Saturday evening.
The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. Bugerere took the lead through Henry Wamala’s brilliant tap-in in the 23rd minute. However, Kyaddondo leveled the game through Abasi Muluya following a lapse in defense by Bugerere.
Kyaddondo had several chances to seal the game early but missed opportunities from Ssentongo Suliaman, Isaac Ssenyunja, and Mande Kigozi came back to haunt them. Kigozi’s shot was saved by Bugerere’s goalkeeper Salim in the 14th minute, and Ssentongo Suliaman’s shot was also kept out by Salim in the 21st minute.
Henry Wamala of Bugerere was named the Man of the Match for his impressive performance.
In the other match played on Saturday, Butambala and Ssingo shared the spoils in a 0-0 stalemate at Kibibi playground. Kevin Mwere of Butambala was named the Man of the Match.
