Kyaggwe ssaza management committee confirmed the appointment of their full technical team in preparation for the 2025 Buganda Masaza football championship.
The 2024 Masaza Cup Runners up have acquired Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming 2025 Masaza Cup tournament.
Mugerwa last season coached two times masaza Cup champions Singo, he replaced David katono Mutono who has been recently signed by three Masaza Cup champions Mawokota who helped them to reach to their maiden masaza Cup finals.
Mugerwa joins 2024 masaza Cup Runners up, Kyaggwe with vast experience having won the prestigious Masaza Cup competition with two sides.
Before Winning it 2022 with Busiro, Mugerwa had won the title way back in 2019, while still at Bulemeezi.
It is a big move for Kyaggwe who are seeking a strong return in this year’s tournament.
Mugerwa recently has been handled Uganda premier league side police fc, Kampala regional side Proline fc and managed Buddu, Bulemenzi Busiro in the masaza Cup.
Mugerwa will work with Robert Ssekweyama and Bright Nyanzi as 1st and 2nd assistant coaches while John Billy Lukoda is goalkeeping coach as Leo Ssekamatte is trainer.
James Chamali is the fitness coach, Joseph Ssentume as performance analyst and Fredrick Mukiibi as the welfare in charge.
Edward Mukasa and Norah Nansasi are the team medics. Shadrack Nsobya, the technical director and Peter Mubiru (equipment manager).
The 2025 prestigious Masaza Cup set to kick off on 21st June 2025 at Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka.
