Lugazi FC have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of one of Uganda’s most technically gifted midfielders, David “Tong Po” Bagoole, who joins from Wakiso Giants on a contract that runs until 2027. The playmaker will don the club’s number 13 jersey.

Bagoole, visibly thrilled at the unveiling, described the move as a natural step in his career.

“This is a club with ambition, and being part of it is a big honour for me,” he said. “Everything here looks promising, and I am eager to get started.”

The 25-year-old is no stranger to Ugandan football fans, having graced the Uganda Premier League with several top outfits including SC Villa, Busoga United, BUL FC, Gaddafi FC, and record champions Vipers SC. He also had stints with Jinja North United, Police FC, and Baza Holdings.

Beyond Uganda, Bagoole’s adventurous career has seen him feature for Sofapaka in Kenya, OC Bukavu Dawa in DR Congo, and La Passe in Seychelles—adding valuable international experience to his resume.

His arrival is expected to inject creativity and vision into Lugazi’s midfield, which already boasts names like Amos Etoju, Derrick Mwanje, Solomon Okwalinga, Norman Lumumba Eluzai, and Abdul Kalanzi.

Club insiders believe his signing marks a significant statement of intent ahead of the new season kicking off next month. With Bagoole in their ranks, Lugazi FC now have a player capable of unlocking defences and dictating the tempo in high-pressure matches.
