Lugazi FC have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of exciting winger Owachgiu Edrine Junior, popularly known as Kanyankole, on a two-year deal from Big Talent Soccer Academy.
The highly-rated youngster brings flair, pace, and creativity to the squad as Lugazi looks to strengthen ahead of the new campaign. His move marks a significant step in his budding career, which has already seen him feature for clubs like Bandirmaspor in Turkey and Kajjansi United locally.
Kanyankole is no stranger to high-level competition. He previously made waves in the Buganda Masaza Cup, turning out for Butambala and Busiro, where his performances consistently caught the eye of scouts and fans alike.
His standout moment came during his school days at Kibuli Secondary School, where he played a pivotal role in helping the team lift the 2022 FEASSA Games football trophy in Tanzania. His exceptional display throughout the tournament earned him the coveted Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
