“We prepared well, and the players delivered exactly what we worked on,” said BUL FC assistant coach James Magala after watching his side dismantle newcomers Buhimba United Saints 3-0 at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

It was a statement of intent from the Eastern giants, who looked sharp, disciplined, and confident as goals from Ibrahim Mugulusi, Seiri Arigumaho, and Jerome Kirya wrapped up a dominant performance. For Magala, it was proof that the team is beginning to click after a steady start to the season.

“We created many good chances and corrected the small mistakes we made in Mbarara,” he added. “This was a complete team effort.”

The result extended BUL’s unbeaten run to four matches and lifted them to second on the Uganda Premier League table with eight points, just one behind early leaders Buhimba — who tasted defeat for the first time.

Magala’s focus, however, has already shifted to their next challenge. “Express is a tough opponent, but we have to maintain this rhythm and intensity,” he warned. “Consistency is what will define our season.”

With confidence surging and cohesion improving each game, BUL are quietly shaping into one of the early contenders in this campaign.
