Jas Mangat has won Kabalega Hoima Rally thus sealing the 2024 National Rally Championship (NRC).
Mangat co-driven Enoch Olinga in a Hyundai i20 R5, delivered a dominant performance, winning eight out of the nine stages with an overall time of 1:19:09 posted.

This is Mangat’s fourth NRC title, adding to the 2012, 2013, and 2016 won earlier.
“It has really been an amazing champion. I have an extremely superior car but call upon other drivers to come next year and we enjoy the game,” Mangat said.

Ronald Ssebuguzi co-driven by Anthony Mugambwa, in Ford Fiesta Proto, finished second with a total time of 1:26:05. Dr. Moustapha Mukasa and Geoffrey Serwoga in a Mitsubishi Evo 9 finished third place after posting a 1:30:22 total time.
“It’s been a long journey, and I’m glad we made it here,” said Mukasa.

The other exciting crew was that of young blood Ali Omar co-driven brother Wazir Omar, in a Mitsubishi Evo 4. The boys showed that they were ready to chill with the big boys as they finished fifth overall.
In the 2WD category, Julius Semambo with co-driver Diana Nagawa emerged in a Toyota Sprinter, posting a time of 1:46:55 emerged winner. They beat off competition from Ibrahim Lubega and Edward Kirumira who completed the 2WD podium.
In the CRC category, Musa Ssegaabwe in a Mitsubishi Evo 9 with a time of 1:06:57 won.
