Maroons FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Express FC in a tightly contested Uganda Premier League clash at Luzira Grounds.
The lone goal of the game came in the added minutes through Boris Onegi, sealing all three points for the hosts and further compounding Express’ struggles this season.
The win boosts Maroons’ standing in the league as they continue to build momentum in the second half of the campaign. They moved seventh with 33 points, two above ninth placed Express.
Express came into match after they had threatened not to play due to monthly arrears but they later played despite coming a few minutes to the game.
