The Mawokota Ssaza Management on Sunday evening officially named David Mutono katono as their head coach for the upcoming 2025 season.
Katono takes over from brain Sssenyondo who replaced Steven Bogere who handled the team last season.
Katono came with wealth of experience and an impressive track record to Mawokota after guiding Kyagwe to their first ever masaza cup finals in the 2024 masaza cup campaign and he also managed Uganda premier league clubs such as Gaddafi and Kyetume.
The former Buganda province head coach also had spell with misindye ,Soana and Seeta united .
Katono told the media that his main task will be helping Mawokota compete and also guiding Mawokota to their fourth masaza cup trophy.

Buddu are the reigning competition champions whereas Gomba are the record winners of the Buganda Kingdom organized championship.
