The three-time Masaza Cup champions, Mawokota, have announced their backroom coaching staff ahead of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup.
David Katono Mutono, who previously guided Kyaggwe to their first-ever Masaza Cup finals in 2024, takes over as head coach.
New Coaching Team
Mutono will work with:- Hamidu Kibirango (1st Assistant Coach)- Ismail Afani (2nd Assistant Coach)- Ali Kiggundu (Goalkeeping Coach)- Dan Bilikwalira (Fitness Coach)- Aloysius Makubuya (Team Doctor)- Harunah Kyobe (Team Manager)
Leadership
Robert Ssemwogerere will chair the committee, with Vipers SC President Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa serving as the patron.
Upcoming Campaign
Mawokota, who reached the quarterfinals last season, will start their 2025 Masaza Cup campaign against Buwekula at Buwekula Ssaza ground.
They are in the Masengere group with Buwekula, Kyadondo, Bugerere, Buvuma, and Bulemeezi.With a strong coaching staff in place, Mawokota is set to make a strong bid for the title.
Gearing up 2025 Masaza cup preparation
Mawokota Ssaza has organized fundraising Dinner to all Mawokota fans, all wishers set gather this Friday at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga while on Sunday at Buwuma Ssaza ground they will be Unveiled Players for the 2025 season.
