The 9th edition of the annual Rotary 5-a-Side football tournament was officially launched at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala. The games will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2024, at the Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) Bukoto Football Grounds, hosted by Kiwatule Rotary Club.
A Legacy of Giving Back
According to Nkangi Edward, Vice President of the Rotary Club of Kiwatule, the tournament has raised over UGX 167,500,000 since its inception in 2015, all of which has gone towards Rotary community service projects across the country. The 2024 edition saw Rotary Club of Nakasero Central emerge as champions, winning UGX 5,000,000 for their community service project.
Prize Money and Categories
This year’s tournament has a prize money of UGX 20 million, which will be awarded as follows:

- Winner: UGX 5,000,000
- Runner-up: UGX 3,000,000
- Third place: UGX 2,000,000
- Fourth place: UGX 1,000,000
- Rotaract Category:
- Winner: UGX 2,500,000
- Runner-up: UGX 1,500,000
- Corporate Category:
- Winner: UGX 3,000,000
- Runner-up: UGX 2,000,000
