Mawokota extended their stay at the top of the Masengere group with a convincing 3-0 victory over Islanders Buvuma in a Masaza Cup game held on Sunday at Buwama Ssaza ground. The three-time champions showcased their free-flowing football, which has brought joy to their fans.
Twins George Isigoma and Kato George were instrumental in Mawokota’s win, with Isigoma netting a corner kick in the 8th minute and Kato scoring the second goal in the 35th minute. Abdul Razak Takuba sealed the win with the third goal in the 82nd minute.
The win was deserved, given Mawokota’s dominance throughout the game. This was their second consecutive home win, following their victory over Buweekula in the previous game. Mawokota now leads the Masengere group with seven points after three games.
Next Sunday, Mawokota will face Bugerere at Ntenjeru Ssaza Ground. The team will look to maintain their form and extend their lead.
