The MPU Mbarara Rally is to welcome back reverse start order as drivers will be fighting to kick start the season with maximum points.
From a total of 44 drivers who put in entries, only 37 passed scrutineering with 4 crews in Nasib Ssesanga, Vincent Muwanguzi, Ukasha Mugoya, Jamada Lwebaga and Yasin Mukasa subjected to re-scrutineering.

After passing the re-scrutineering, CRC category’s Vincent Muwanguzi co-driven by Peter Ssennono will be car number one on track followed by Team 44’s Ahmed Kateete. Promising youngster, Kevin Bebeto will be making his debut CRC event competition starting as car no.9 in a Subaru Impreza N10 co-driven by experienced navigator, Lawrence Mwambazi.

Ponsiano Lwakataka will start as car no.32 followed by fellow champions Duncan Mubiru Kikankane, Yasin Nasser and Nasser Mutebi in that order. Being last year’s third place NRC finisher, Dr. Moustapha Mukasa will be starting as car no.36 on the road and chased by Ronald Ssebuguzi who finished second last year on NRC.
The event which is dubbed as Lumala @60 Mum @90, will run on 140 km competitive distance and 156 km liaison starting today.
