Uganda will be represented by 45 riders at the second round of Central Africa Motorcross Championship (CAC), set to take place from the 14th to the 15th of December in Mombasa, Kenya.

The team, has left the country with high hopes of defending the title it won last year. Uganda leads the championship with 1,540 points, followed by Kenya in second on 179 points. This puts Kenya in difficult position to dethrone Uganda from the Championship.

The CAC provides a platform for motocross enthusiasts to test their skills and gain valuable international exposure. Uganda’s participation highlights the country’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting motorsport at a regional level.

As the event unfolds, all eyes will be on the Ugandan riders as they take to the track, aiming to bring home glory and uphold the nation’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in motocross.

Despite the freezing of the Federation of Motorsports Clubs in Uganda (FMU) bank accounts, Uganda managed to stage up a strong team to fight for the championship according to Arthur Blick Junior, the DVP Motorcross.

“We managed to organise the team well and we thank parents who have coordinated well with the federation to have the riders go to Mombasa. We are determined to bring the championship home,” says Blick.

The has been flagged off today at the National Council of Sports offices. The CAC, a highlight of the regional motorsport calendar, promises intense competition across various categories. The Ugandan squad boasts a diverse lineup of riders ready to showcase their prowess on Kenyan soil.

The team includes: Musede Jude Kyle, Musede John, Musede Ethan, Ashram Makumbi, Jamairah Makumbi, Kylan Wakesa, Gift Sebuguzi, Wareed Ali Omar, Ron Young, Mutebi Rashid, Kimera Rahma, Alba Muwanguzi, Abigail Muwanguzi and Katende Brothers among others.
