Namuwongo Blazers will look to keep their flawless record intact in the National Basketball League when they take on the KCCA Panthers tonight at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Riding high at 12-0, the Blazers are in search of a season sweep against the Panthers, having routed them 74-37 in the first round. With such commanding form, they enter the game as strong favorites.
The Panthers, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency this season. They’ve managed eight wins against six losses and are currently on a downward spiral after suffering three consecutive defeats to the JT Jaguars, Kampala Rockets, and UCU Canons.

In their most recent game, the Blazers overcame a shaky start to defeat the JT Jaguars 81-71, clawing back from a 19-15 first-quarter deficit. Four players reached double figures: Innocent Ochera led with 20 points, Tonny Drilleba contributed 14, while Michael Makiadi and James Okello added 12 each.
However, the Blazers could be without key guards Jimmy Enabu, Wadaya Blair, and Richard Ongom — all of whom missed the previous match and remain doubtful for tonight’s clash.
With contrasting momentum on their sides, the Blazers will aim to stay unbeaten, while the Panthers will hope to halt their slide and deliver an upset.
