This Sunday morning NEC FC have completed the signing of Uganda Hippos forward Alpha Ssali Thierry from Express FC were he has spent one year and five months.
The winger has penned down a two years employment contract to Hussein Mbalangu’s side. Bebe Cool’s son, has recently undergone trials with Khaled Catalunya Management in Spain.
Ssali is a product of Proline Soccer Academy. Having joined the side at the age of four, he went on to feature in all the Proline underage teams, including the first team when it featured in the FUFA Big League.
NEC head coach Hussein Mbalangu has lauded Ssali’s capture ahead of the second around, adding that it goes a long way in boosting the team’s attacking options upfront and scoring goals too. NEC starts their Uganda premier league second round with a Lugogo derby against KCCA FC on Thursday February 13th, 2025.
The Hussein Mbalangu coached side currently sits second on the league table with 34 points from 15 games played.
