Vipers SC showed their pedigree with a commanding 3-0 win over Blacks Power to book their place in the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Wednesday evening at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

Even without key players like Allan Okello, Abdul Karim Watambala, and Rogers Torach who are with Cranes in preparation for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers double header against Mozambique and Guinea, they proved their depth and quality.

Yunus Sentamu’s opener set the tone, and Pedro Sukuya, who had an outstanding game, added a goal before Livingstone Mulondo sealed the victory.

With their sights set on another double, Vipers will have to navigate a tough field featuring KCCA FC, SC Villa, BUL FC, Police FC, and Kaaro Karungi.

The competition is heating up and it’s tricky to determine who stands the best chance of lifting the trophy this season.

The winners of the Stanbic Uganda Cup represents the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
