The stage is set rally proper day one for the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally gets under way today.
Drivers will start with a 23.28km competitive Kaguta 1 stage before heading to Ankole Cow 1 for 19.28 km of competition.

A sixty minute service will be given to crews before they head out for the super special stage at Mwesigwa Resort. The super special stage will consist of two runs each having 2.51km.
This year’s Pearl Rally serves as the second round of African Rally Championship as well as the third Uganda National Rally Championship round.
In the ARC category, Sodo Kaguta will open the route followed by Nihkil Sachania, Michael Mukula Jr, Samman Vohr, Karan Patel and Yasin Nasser.

Ponsiano Lwakataka will be the first NRC car to start followed by Ronald Ssebuguzi, Duncan Mubiru, Suzan Muwonge and others.
