Police FC secured a 2-1 victory over Express FC in the Uganda Premier League today evening at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.

This win was crucial for Police FC, helping them climb the league standings to 12th with 23 points, five below eighth placed Express. Vipers are top of the standings with 46 points.

In the first half, both teams started cautiously, focusing on maintaining possession.

Express FC created several chances but couldn’t convert them into goals as it ended in goalless draw.

In the second half, the match intensified with both teams seeking a breakthrough. Police FC capitalized on defensive lapses by Express FC, scoring two goals through Brian Omedi and Regan Male in the 49th and 69th minutes. Express pulled one back through Conrad Ssenjogera in the 88th minute.

This result is significant for both teams. Police FC’s victory boosts their confidence and improves their position in the league, while Express FC will need to reassess their strategies to avoid further setbacks in upcoming fixtures.

This was Express’ second consecutive defeat having earlier lost to Luzira 1-0.
