Kenya’s Kanana Muthoni has become East Africa’s top success in the second day’s 18-hole showdown of the R&A Ladies Invitational Golf tour at the Leopard Creek course in South Africa with an impressive one-over to finish fourth. Still, it was a dull outing for the Tanzanian and Ugandan envoys.

Chanelle Mwangi, who had a stellar performance in the event’s first day on Wednesday, dropped to the fifth position after returning 9 over to finish the day with 154 aggregate strokes.
Madina Iddi who was positioned 7th in the event’s opener, dropped five positions down to claim the 12th place with 165 strokes.
Peace Kabasweka slightly improved this evening from 86 strokes on the first day to 82 today, placing her in the 14th position.
But the outing went sour for Vicky Elias and Martha Babirye, who were forced to retire after a dismal start on the opening day.

Babirye, who posted 17 over in the first day, finished 20th one position above the bottom-placed Talia Samir of Egypt. It was not disclosed why the two retired.
The hosts South Africa continue to stamp authority at their home course, this time it is Gia Raad at the helm with three under 141 aggregate strokes.
She has leapfrogged the overnight leader, Lisa Coetzer who has now moved to the third position with 145 strokes.
Another South African Bobbi Brown is placed second with 144 strokes.
The three-day tournament continues tomorrow where the golfers will complete the third 18 holes of the 54-hole event.
