Rezlife v Dolphins

The moment of truth has arrived for Rezlife Saints.
After years spent building their program in the shadows of Ugandan basketball, the Entebbe-based side is now on the verge of a breakthrough. A win in their final regular season fixture against JKL Dolphins today would seal their first-ever National Basketball League (NBL) playoff appearance.

Standing in their way are the JKL Dolphins, who are no longer in playoff contention and have safely avoided relegation.

But the Saints are on a roll. With four straight wins under their belt, Michael Otienno and company are peaking at just the right time. A fifth would lift them into the sixth seed and in doing so, reshuffle the playoff deck entirely.

Should Rezlife clinch that sixth seed, it would mean defending champions City Oilers slip to eighth, setting up a blockbuster opening round against the Namuwongo Blazers. While the matchup may not thrill neutral fans hoping for a more dramatic showdown, for Rezlife, it would be nothing short of poetic.

Rezlife’s rise this season has already turned heads. From record wins to battling into playoff position, it’s been a campaign of growth and firsts.
