The Kasasiro boys got 1-2 hard fought win against Paul Kiwanuka’s UPDF FC on match day 20 of the 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season at Bombo Military barracks ground today Thursday evening.
Forward Usama Arafat and Sadat Anaku were on target for KCCA while former player Samson Kigozi netted the consolation for the hosts.
Usama scored in the sixth minutes of the game to give the visitors early lead when he met Haruna Lukwago’s cross inside the box and struck the ball into the left corner on the turn.
Ten minutes past the hour mark, Anaku doubled the lead for the visitors.
Kigozi got the consolation for UPDF FC in the 80th minute to force a nervy ending but KCCA FC held on to collect all three points.
KCCA’s Joel Sserunjogi was cautioned for a foul on UPDF’s Ronald Kayondo in the 34th minutes of the game later in the 48th minutes was sent off for a second bookable offence.
This was the second consecutive win for KCCA FC following the 5-0 victory against Mbale Hereos.
The Kasasiro Boys are currently fourth on the Uganda Premier League table with 31 points while UPDF is eleventh with 24 points in 20 games.
