KAMPALA — Following days of intense social media speculation linking several stars to the Kenyan Premier League, NEC FC has officially addressed the rumors surrounding the potential departure of Mustafa Kizza, Charles Waibi, and other key squad members to Nairobi United.
While reports across both Ugandan and Kenyan digital platforms suggested that deals for the duo had already been “signed and sealed,” officials at the Bugolobi-based club have urged for patience, clarifying that no transfer is finalized yet.

Speaking to Rora Media on the developments, a high-ranking official from NEC FC confirmed that while there is interest from the Nairobi-based side, the “done deal” tags currently circulating online are premature. “There are ongoing negotiations, and both teams will confirm once there is any complete deal,” the official stated, effectively putting a temporary lid on the celebration among Nairobi United fans.

Nairobi United’s interest in the NEC FC pair isn’t accidental. The two clubs shared a heated and closely contested battle in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds earlier this season.
