TT Drag & Drift event promises unforgettable racing experience as FMU gives it a go ahead

The Federation of Motorsports Clubs in Uganda (FMU) has sanctioned the first TT Drag & Drift event under its calendar.

During the event launch at the Banana Resort Beach in Jinja, the FMU Secretary General, Reynolds Kibira who was accompanied by his assistant, Jackson Sserwanga stated that, TT Drag & Drift is now among the disciplines to be run under the FMU calendar.

“With pleasure I announce that FMU and TT Drag & Drift are now together. The event which is going to take place at Banana Resort is well known by the federation and sanctioned under our calendar. Last year we considered it an irregular sport because they that failed to work under the federation streamlined rules governing automobile sports,” Kibira explained.

The event, scheduled for June 13th-15th at Banana Resort Beach in Jinja, promises to deliver an adrenaline-packed experience with drag racing, Time Trial, and drifting competitions. Organized by Motorsports Promo Uganda, a club under the Federation of Motorsports Clubs in Uganda (FMU), the event aims to bring together motorsport enthusiasts and showcase local talent.

Funs will be treated to different disciplines including; drag racing, Time Trial and the usual drifting competitions which make people yawn and shout in support for the talent. During the event, drivers will also remember fallen rally driver Rajiv Ruparelia, who tragically lost his life in an accident. Rajiv was once a street racer before joining rally.
