Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi has joined England National league side Carlisle United football Club after leaving Cypus side Anorthosis Famagusta.
The 30-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Cumbrians which keeps him at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The towering defender had spent weeks now without a club, after departing Anorthosis, where he had spent eleven months, in which he made 17 appearances and scored one goal.

Mugabi, had spells in the youth set-up at Fulham and Southampton before joining Yeovil Town in 2016.
After three years with Yeovil, he made the switch to Motherwell in 2019 and made 125 appearances for the Scottish premiership side and later joined Cyprus side.
Mugabi is the sixth new signing by the Cumbrians since losing their place in the English Football League.

Mugabi’s new team is one of the founding clubs of the England Football Association in 1896. Carlisle United Football Club is a professional association football club based in Carlisle, Cumbria, England.
The team currently compete in the National League, the fifth level of the English football league system and they host their games at Brunton Park.
Mark Hughes’ side begin life in National League with a trip to Woking on 9 August.
