Ugandan forward Muhammad Shaban aka Jagason has parted ways with record FKF Premier League champions, Gor Mahia, just days after arriving in Kenya.

According to sources, Shaban was reportedly promised USD 30,000 (approximately Ksh 4 million) upon signing his contract, but was shocked when the club offered USD 10,000 (around Ksh 1.3 million), with assurances that the balance would be settled later. The striker is said to have rejected the offer outright calling it “a terrible lie.”

Gor Mahia, the 21-time league champions missed out on both the league and the Mozzart Bet Cup, finishing second to Kenya Police FC and losing a cup final to Nairobi United, respectively.

Shaban, who did not make a single appearance for the club, reportedly left after declining to accept the signing fee. Shaban has made 22 appearances for the Uganda national team and scored 2 goals

He has also played for Onduparaka FC (two spells), Vipers SC (two spells), KCCA FC (two spells), Raja Casablanca, Al Hilal Benghazi, and Al-Anwar Al-Abyar SC.
