Uganda cricket women’s national team, Victoria Pearls completed a perfect campaign in the Women’s Easter T20 Cup with a tense 11-run victory over USA at the Lakeside cricket Oval in Entebbe , sealing the title in dominant fashion.
After being put in to bat, Uganda posted a modest but competitive total of 101/5 in their 20 overs. Captain Janet Mbabazi anchored the innings with a composed 31 off 36 balls, providing stability at the top.
Rita Musamali contributed an unbeaten 21, while Esther Iloku added 14 to help steady the innings. A crucial late cameo from Malisa Ariokot, who struck 13 off just five deliveries, pushed Uganda past the 100-run mark—ultimately proving decisive.
In response, USA struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 90 in 19 overs. Isani Mahesh Vaghela (19) and Sainavi Kambalapalli (18) offered brief resistance, but the chase never fully gathered pace.
Immaculate Nakisuuyi delivered a match-winning performance, claiming four wickets to earn Player of the Match honors. She was well supported by Irene Mutonyi, who picked up three wickets, while Consylate Aweko Nimungu and Mbabazi maintained pressure with disciplined bowling spells.

Uganda’s sharp fielding and consistent accuracy ensured USA could not form the partnerships needed to chase down the target.
The victory capped an outstanding tournament for Uganda, who remained unbeaten throughout, finishing with 13 points from seven matches—six wins and one no result.
