In the enthralling encounter between Uganda’s Victoria Pearls and Canada’s Lady at the 2025 Victoria Series at the iconic Lugogo cricket emerged victorious, clinching a hard-fought win by four wickets to make it two in two matches.
The game unfolded with Uganda winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, setting the stage for an intense battle at the increase .Uganda struck early through Kevin Amuge, who repeated her Day 1 magic with a wicket in her second over.

Canada, however, showed their intent to bounce back — captain Amarpal Kaur led from the front with a measured 30 off 37, anchoring a cautious but steady effort.
Uganda named an unchanged XI from the opening game, while Canada made one change, handing a debut to Srishti Raha in place of Jasmina Oldham.

Uganda faltered early in their innings. Leading scorer from the previous match, Janet Mbabazi, was dismissed for just 2 runs. She was quickly followed by Esther Iloku (2) who was runout, and Kevin Awino, promoted up the order, fell for aduck — caught and bowled by Vandana Mahajan.
Uganda was in trouble. Ritah Musamali looked composed but was also dismissed via acaught-and-bowled by Canada’s captain Amarpal Kaur. It was left to Immaculate Nakisuuyi and Stephanie Nampiina to steady the ship, putting together a vital 32-run fifth-wicket stand.

Nakisuuyi anchored the innings with a match-winning 37 off 57 balls, while Nampiina added 13. A late cameo of 12 runs from Proscovia Alako pushed Uganda close to the target.
Despite a strong fightback by the Canadian bowlers, which took the game into the final over, a wide delivery from Amarpal Kaur handed Uganda the win on the first delivery of the last over.

Wickets were shared among five Canadian bowlers — Vandana Mahajan, Rabbjyot Rajput, Indomatie Goordial, Amarpal Kaur, and Terisha Lavia all claiming one each.
