Vipers 3-1 NEC FC
Vipers secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against NEC FC in the top of the table clash on the Uganda Premier League matchday twenty four at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Thursday night.
Hillary Mukudane, Allan Okello, and Isaac Ogwang scored as Vipers secured bragging rights on the day while Paul Mucureezi scored the consolation for the visitors.

Mukudane broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a brilliant header from star boy Allan Okello’s cross to give the venoms lead.
Okello doubled Vipers’ lead in the 42nd minute with a low drive after being set up for Superb donkey-work by Yunus Sentamu on the left.
Isaac Ogwang put the icing on the cake in the 46th minute making it three with a finish inside the goal area to end the second half 3-0 in favor of the venoms.
The visitors scored consolation in the 84th minute through a penalty after Viper’s defender Rogers Torach fouled James Jarieko. The penalty was converted by Mucureezi.
The Venoms extended their unbeaten home run to twelve matches this season having won nine and draw three.

Today Okello marked 50 appearance to the Venoms. He has scored 16 goals for the Kitende based side.
Ogwang scored his first goal at Vipers and his six Uganda premier league goal having scored five goal with Police FC.
Vipers are now on 56 points with six games left and five above second placed NEC FC. The Venoms will host SC Villa next in the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter final tie on Easter Monday while NEC FC will host Mbale Heroes in the Uganda Premier League.
