Vipers saw early disruption when Abubakali Walusimbi limped off after just 17 minutes, and despite carving out openings through Milton Karisa and later Yunus Ssentamu’s late free kick that shaved the crossbar, the visitors couldn’t find a breakthrough.
Calvary, buoyed by strong home support, defended with grit and discipline, with goalkeeper Fauzu Tatiga delivering a standout performance that earned him man of the match honours.
Multiple substitutions from both sides failed to tilt the momentum, and even five added minutes couldn’t separate the teams as the final whistle confirmed a goalless draw.
The result leaves Vipers ruing a missed chance to reclaim the top spot, while Calvary will take pride in a hard-earned point against one of the league’s giants.
