Vipers SC have added firepower to their frontline with the acquisition of Nigerian winger Odili Chukwuma, who joins the Ugandan champions on a two-year deal from Rwanda Police FC. The 23-year-old becomes the latest addition to the Venoms’ ambitious rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Chukwuma, known for his explosive pace, accurate deliveries, and goal-scoring instinct, is expected to bring fresh energy and width to the Vipers’ attack. His contract runs through to 2027, and he is expected to compete for a starting role on the flanks alongside club captain Milton Karisa and forward Yunus Sentamu.

“I’ve followed Vipers SC for a while, and now that I’m here, it feels like the right step. I’m ready to give my all and help this club chase success,” said Chukwuma upon signing.
The winger arrives in Kitende after an impressive season in Rwanda, where he helped Police FC to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League, contributing eight assists and five goals across the campaign. His performances drew praise for both his consistency and attacking impact. Prior to that, he featured for Bugesera FC, also in the Rwandan top division.

Chukwuma’s arrival marks the fourth signing for Vipers in the current transfer window, joining Mark Yallah (Liberia), Kevin Dasylva Bady (DR Congo), and Enock Ssebaggala. Head coaches Fred Muhumuza and John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda are working to assemble a squad that can defend their Uganda Premier League title and make a serious impression in continental competitions like the CAF Champions League, as well as domestic tournaments such as the Uganda Cup, Super Cup, and FUFA Super 8.
With Chukwuma on board, Vipers SC signal clear intent to refresh their squad with speed, depth, and attacking flair ahead of what promises to be a demanding campaign.
