Wakiso Giants’ six-year stay in the Uganda Premier League came to a crushing end following a 5-0 thrashing by KCCA FC at Lugogo on Saturday evening.
The defeat confirmed their relegation to the FUFA Big League, with two matches still remaining in the season.
It was a nightmare outing for Wakiso, who not only suffered a humiliating loss but also ended the match with ten men after Ambrose Arinda was sent off for two yellow card offenses.
KCCA put on a dominant display, with goals from Ashraf Mugume, Joao Gabriel Esteves Cardoso, Umar Lutalo, Bright Anukani, and Gatbel Yian sealing the emphatic win.
Wakiso Giants now join Bright Stars and Mbale Heroes as the clubs officially relegated from the top flight this season.
