The 2024 CAF African Schools U15 girls football Championship CECAFA regional qualifies officially climaxed yesterday Thursday, 13th December with the Zzana based side, St Noa dominating the show after collecting 7 points on round robin format.
They beat Rwanda (8-0) to a bulged goal difference of nine and even Tanzania beat Burundi (1-0), which could not make them overtake the Ugandan side in the girls category at St Mary’s Kitende Stadium.

During the touranament alot of young stars excelled with Burundi’s Ella Louange being named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament for her astonishing performances.
Brenda Nassaka of St Noa (Uganda) finished the tournament as the top scorer with seven goals to her name.

St Noa’s goalkeeper, Haira Nabosa was named as the best custodian in the event that began on December 10th, 2024. Nabosa also made a crucial save in the final to secure their maiden CAF African Schools championship CECAFA regional qualifies.
All the individual winners were rewarded with accolades at the grand finale of the competition. While the champions Tanzania (boys) and Uganda (girls) received medals and trophies at the awards ceremony ,they also picked a US dollars 100,000 dummy Cheque in both category .

The Silver medalist, Uganda’s Boys team and the Tanzania (girls) collected medals and a dummy cheque of US $ 75000 each ,while Somalia and Burundi who came third in the boys and girls categories respectively also picked medals and dummy cheque of US$ 5000 each.
The CAF Africa Schools Football Championship was sponsored by the CAF President Patrice Motsepe foundation.
