BUL FC have embarked on a significant rebuilding process after confirming the departure of more than ten players whose contracts have expired at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The Jinja-based side announced that it will not renew the contracts of several senior players as part of a broader strategy aimed at refreshing the squad and creating room for emerging talent ahead of the upcoming Uganda Premier League campaign.

Among those leaving the Eastern Giants are Ibrahim Orit, Fredrick Ngalo, Bakali Magunda, Viane Sekajugo, Thomas Ochungo, Jeromy Kirya, Nicholas Mwere, Julius Barasa, Isaac Wagoina and Karim Ndugwa.

The club said the decision followed a comprehensive review of the season and aligns with its long-term vision of building a competitive team capable of challenging at the highest level while investing in players from its development structures.

BUL expressed gratitude to the departing players for their contribution, commitment and service during their time at the club, noting that they will always remain part of the BUL FC family.

The departures mark the beginning of what is expected to be a busy transfer window for the former Uganda Cup champions, who have already started preparations to strengthen their squad for the 2026/27 season.

The club is expected to announce retained players and new signings in the coming weeks as it seeks to assemble a team capable of mounting a strong challenge in the league next season.
