Namuwongo Blazers delivered a commanding performance to thrash Livingstone 97-48 in a National Basketball League clash held at Lugogo Indoor Arena, further reinforcing their dominance at the top of the standings with their 18th regular season win.

The contest began with both sides trading baskets, and Akris Ainomugisha’s buzzer-beating three-pointer ensured a 18-18 deadlock at the end of the first quarter.

However, the tide quickly turned in the Blazers’ favour in the second quarter. Henry Ssebagala ignited the momentum with a timely three-point jumper that handed his side an eight-point cushion going into halftime.

After the break, the Blazers tightened their defense, completely neutralizing Livingstone’s offense and limiting them to just seven points in the third quarter. The gap widened drastically, with the Blazers opening up a 28-point lead.
