The 2025 FUFA Juniors League is set to kick off on Saturday February 8th, ushering in transformative adjustments to enhance talent development.
The FUFA Juniors League is the bedrock for future football stars and over the years, this has acted as a conveyer belt for the National teams (Junior and the Senior National Team).
Since it’s introduction in 2015, all teams playing in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League are mandated to have a team in the Juniors League and it’s played on a round-based format with three rounds of play.

Sixteen teams have been grouped into two groups; the Treble and Hat-trick. Each group having eight teams.
Treble Group: KCCA FC JT (Kampala), Soana Bright Stars FC JT (Kampala), URA FC JT (Wakiso), Vipers SC JT (Wakiso), Wakiso Giants FC JT (Wakiso), UPDF FC JT (Luweero), Kitara FC JT (Hoima), Mbarara City FC JT (Mbarara)
Hat-trick Group: KCCA FC SA (Kampala), NEC FC JT (Kampala), Maroons FC JT (Kampala), Police FC JT (Kampala), SC Villa JT (Kampala), Lugazi FC JT (Buikwe), BUL FC JT (Jinja) and Mbale Heroes FC JT (Mbale)
Rules to the tournament
Clubs will register a maximum of 25 players, with specific age brackets and roles.
Five players born in 2007 (at least one goalkeeper)
Fifteen players born between 2008–2009 (at least one goalkeeper)
Five players born in 2010 (at least one goalkeeper)
