URA FC will be aiming to extend their impressive winning streak when they host KCCA FC under the floodlights at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Wednesday night in a high-stakes Uganda Premier League encounter.
The Tax Collectors are flying high after three consecutive victories, the latest being a commanding 3-0 triumph over Bright Stars at the same venue. That run has propelled them to 4th place with 39 points, and head coach Alex Isabirye is eager to build on the momentum.

“We are at home and we need to use this as an advantage. KCCA have not been in form but they are good side we need to handle well. This makes the tie tough,” noted Isabirye.
There’s added motivation for URA, who are seeking revenge for their first-round 1-0 loss to KCCA in Lugogo. Much of the spotlight will fall on winger Moses Aliro, who has been outstanding this season with 4 goals and 8 assists—and will be especially fired up as he faces his former club.
KCCA FC, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back after back-to-back defeats, including a 2-1 loss to BUL in interim coach Jackson Magera’s first match in charge. The 13-time champions have dropped to 6th on the table with 34 points and are under pressure to reignite their campaign.

“We need to win to have the players confidence raised. We have tried to improve on the mistakes and I believe we are good to go,” noted Magera.
KCCA will welcome back defenders Mustafa Mujuzi and Etienne Katenga, though they still contend with several absentees. A positive result in Nakivubo could be just the spark they need for a strong finish to the season.
