Kabojja International School has formalized a strategic partnership with the Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA), signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to serve as the official host of the Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025. The signing ceremony, held on the school campus, brought together UTTA executives, Kabojja leadership, administrators, and members of the press, highlighting a shared vision for sports development and youth engagement.

Speaking at the event, UTTA President Cyrus Mark Muwanga underlined the significance of selecting Kabojja as a host partner:

“Our goal is to elevate the Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025 to the highest standards. Kabojja International School embodies excellence, and we are proud to collaborate with them.”

Kabojja’s leadership, including Principal/CEO Sam Turya and Director Ahmed Lwasa, emphasized the school’s commitment to sports as an essential component of education:

“Sports are not just extracurricular activities—they are vital for character building, discipline, and mental wellness. By engaging students in sports, we equip them with resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills.”

The school has invested heavily in modern sports facilities, including a football pitch and multi-sport complex, reflecting its philosophy that athletic development is central to nurturing well-rounded students.

The partnership also promises opportunities for international exposure and cultural exchange, allowing students to interact with visiting athletes and peers from diverse backgrounds.

“Sports create networks beyond the game,” said Turya. “These experiences prepare our students for global citizenship and real-world challenges.”

While acknowledging potential logistical challenges, Turya framed them as learning opportunities, ensuring students gain practical experience in organizing major events.

The Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025 is scheduled for December 6–7, with Kabojja International School ready to host the event with full support from its staff, students, and parent community. This collaboration not only strengthens Uganda’s sporting calendar but also reinforces Kabojja’s dedication to nurturing talent, promoting discipline, and integrating holistic education through sports.

The ceremony concluded with the official signing of the MOU, signaling the start of a landmark partnership between UTTA and Kabojja International School.
