The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) is delighted to formally invite schools or universities to participate in the Kateregga Memorial Schools Table Tennis Championship 2026, which will be the first tournament of the year under UTTA’s calendar.
As the association’s premier annual event, the championship plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing talent, promoting competitive excellence, and advancing the growth of table tennis across all age groups in Uganda.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from Friday, 27th February to Sunday, 1st March 2026 at the Lugogo MTN Indoor Arena, a venue offering excellent facilities and a professional environment suitable for both players and spectators. Competitions will be held for both male and female participants across Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, and Universities, with each category featuring team events and singles competitions. To maintain fairness and competitive balance, each institution is allowed to enter a maximum of one team per gender.
Participation fees are set at sh70,000 for team events, while singles events will cost sh5,000 for primary school participants and sh10,000 for secondary school and university players.
To ensure smooth organisation and planning of this national event, all entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, 24th February 2026. UTTA looks forward to welcoming your institution and celebrating the first tournament of the year, which promises to set the tone for a successful and competitive 2026 season of table tennis.
