Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have secured their place in the FUFA Women’s Cup final following a hard-fought victory over St Noa Girls in the semifinal clash.
The Valley Warriors came into the second leg with a slim 1-0 lead from the first encounter and finished the job with a 2-1 win at Kyabaggu Stadium, sealing a 3-1 aggregate triumph.
St Noa Girls looked to stage a comeback and struck early through Sylvia Kabene, who found the back of the net in the 8th minute to level the aggregate score. However, Kawempe remained composed and resilient. Their persistence was rewarded in the 75th minute when Jovia Nakagolo fired in the equalizer.
Momentum swung firmly in Kawempe’s favor just four minutes later, when Agnes Nabukenya scored the decisive goal, completing the comeback and booking their spot in the final.
In the other semifinal tie, Amus College progressed after a 1-1 draw in the second leg against Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC. With a 3-1 victory in the first leg, Amus advanced to the final on a 4-2 aggregate.
Now Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Amus College, will battle for glory in the FUFA Women’s Cup final.
