KCCA FC will be keen to assert their dominance when they host FUFA Big League side Kataka FC in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-finals, a pivotal fixture in their quest for silverware this season.
With the Uganda Cup as their only remaining shot at a trophy, coach Jackson Magera has underscored the team’s focus and determination. The return of forward Sadat Anaku and defender Mustafa Mujuzi comes as a timely boost, though injuries to Etienne Katenga and Derrick Nsibambi present selection challenges.

Kataka FC, on the other hand, are embracing their underdog role with confidence. After knocking out URA FC and Police FC via penalty shootouts, the Mbale-based club will fancy another upset, drawing belief from their disciplined performances and strong mentality.
History, however, favors KCCA. The last time these two sides met in the Uganda Cup, KCCA ran out 3-0 winners—a result Kataka will be eager to avenge.
